California Seed Association
About Us

Profile
The California Seed Association is a nonprofit agricultural trade association that has served the seed industry since 1940 — bringing every segment of the industry together as a strong, united voice.

California Seed Industry
California is known throughout the world as a premier location for crop breeding, variety development, and seed production — particularly of horticultural crops and agronomic crops other than soybeans.

Committees
CSA’s standing committees carry the association’s work forward — from seed certification and plant health to legislation, breeding, communications, and membership. Every one of them is open to members.

Government Relations
CSA represents the seed industry in Sacramento — three registered lobbyists on staff, influencing decisions that shape how seed is grown, moved, and regulated in California.

Calendar of Events
Twice a year, California’s seed industry comes together. Register, book your room, and get everything you need for each meeting.

Scholarship
The Ginny Patin Memorial Scholarship, Research, and Education Foundation awards three $2,500 scholarships each year to California students headed into the seed industry.
